The Tailors
This rather special room celebrates the original tailors based in the building. Nowhere in the building is the architectural history better displayed. Wisened timber beams from the 17th Century townhouse frame the room, the robust safe that stored the days’ earnings is secured deep in the bathroom wall and the original 17th century wattle and daub wall is perfectly preserved. Moreover, an original 'Drapers' poster was uncovered during renovations and now sits proudly on display. With excellent views down the beautifully preserved Red Lion Street, this room warmly welcomes you to immerse yourself in a prominent part of Aylsham’s history.

A review of The Tailors
"The place is gorgeous and very clean. I stayed in the Tailors room -- beautiful! I love how the old parts of the building are incorporated into the new design."
