The Florists
The Florists is a grand Georgian bedroom with outstanding views across the Marketsquare. With the ‘best view in the house’, this room pays homage to the trade in flowers. The Florists includes a modern bathroom, 3 large windows that bathe the room in light and a lovely seating area where you can sit back and watch the morning market square bustle.
Giving flowers has been part of social custom for centuries, and rose to popularity in the Victorian Era to express emotion when decorum prohibited outward displays of emotion. As such the art of floriography blossomed, with different flowers used to convey the sentiments of the giver. The floral market trade continues today - look out for the array of plants for sale on market days, or visit Lavenders Blue just two doors down.

"Felt like we were in a luxury London hotel but in the peaceful and relaxing town of Aylsham. We stayed in The Florists - it was beautiful and spacious, with high ceilings. The bed was incredibly comfortable and we had a fantastic sleep. Everything was clean. Wished we stayed longer and will definitely return."
